Mitch is 5 months today. Therefore we tried our first food which was a vegetable. I thought I'd start with green beans. I also thought he'd like them. Boy was I wrong. I gave him about 10 total spoonfuls which he would try to spit out each time, sometimes successfully. He would make the 'ew gross' face and gagged most of the time. I stopped after that and thought we could give it a try tomorrow. The doctor recommends trying a veggie for about a week to make sure he doesn't have a reaction to it. But if he keeps gagging like he did tonight I won't plan on keeping him on it. Maybe I'd try it again with the Stage 2 veggie. Anyways he is definitely an eater with the bottle and doesn't miss a meal! He went to the doctor on Thursday to get his heart murmur finally checked out. Of course he is perfectly fine and we don't need to worry at all. He is almost always happy (unless you are slow with the bottle). He loves to smile and it is so easy to get him to smile. He is a big talker too. He will even talk himself (or hum) to sleep. He is a roller, mostly back to front. He's a thumb sucker too which is adorable. He has been in 6 month clothes for awhile now, except pants, those are still 3-6 because 6 month ones like to fall down. He absolutely loves his big sister as well. He always is watching her and she can get him to smile in an instant! Green bean pictures...

Mitch's 4 month appt
Mitch saw the doctor today for his 4 month check up and all went well. He is 15 lbs 15 oz - basically 16 lbs! He is also 26.5 in tall. He is going to be tall like Katelyn but just a little bit heavier! He got two shots today, one in each leg and Brad said he handled it well. We've been given the ok to start cereal as well, what an experience that will be! He will return in 2 months for his 6 month check up.
Other Mitch news, he is rolling over - front to back and back to front now. Every once in awhile he will get stuck and then will get extremely upset, that is until someone picks him up and then he is fine! He has also become very vocal! He is 'talking' all the time!
