23 weeks

How your baby's growing:
Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With his sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that he's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), you may be able to see him squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in his lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing his for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze him when he hears them outside the womb.

And his name will be.......

Mitchell Bradley. He will probably go by Mitch though. The whole name will be used when he gets in trouble! We all absolutely love it! Katelyn can even say his name as I have been using it to refer to the baby in mommy's stomach. Its so cute to hear her say it!

22 weeks

This post was supposed to happen on Friday so its late I know! We were without a computer and I hadn't had a chance to get on and do any updates recently. The 22 week info was interesting, I love seeing how he is growing!


How your baby's growing:

At 11 inches (the length of a spaghetti squash) and almost 1 pound, your baby is starting to look like a miniature newborn. His lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and he's even developing tiny tooth buds beneath his gums. His eyes have formed, but his irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment. If you could see inside your womb, you'd be able to spot the fine hair (lanugo) that covers his body and the deep wrinkles on his skin, which he'll sport until he adds a padding of fat to fill them in. Inside his belly, his pancreas — essential for the production of some important hormones — is developing steadily.

Happy Easter!

We want to wish our family and friends a very Happy Easter! Katelyn had a good one, it was filled with plastic eggs, bubbles, outfits and of course candy!

Happy Birthday Jack!

Today is cousin Jack's first birthday and we want to wish him a great and happy birthday!!!

Boy oh Boy!

On Friday we went in for my ultrasound and came out with the biggest smiles! We found out we're expecting a boy! We couldn't be happier. Brad is getting a little farmer and Katelyn is getting a little brother. She doesn't really understand although she does point to my tummy and say baby. And yes, there is only ONE in there!

I got so excited about finding out that yesterday I found a bedding that I loved and ordered it. It was on sale and adorable, once Brad saw it and okay'd it I bought it!!! I cannot wait to see it in person. Once it comes in I will have to take pictures, it is a jungle type theme. I can't wait to buy more things for this baby boy! There isn't a name yet as we can't decide on one together, however it is in the works.

On a side note, this boy will be the first on my mom's side since Zach and one of many boys on my dad's side!
