Happy Thanksgiving to all of our family and friends. We are thankful for you all! Hoping everyone has a great day.

Carpet!

Monday and Tuesday we had carpet installed. It looks great and feels super soft. I walked on it barefoot yesterday! I love it and so does Katelyn! She was running all around and laying down on it. We think though that they must've ran out of carpet because only half of the stairway down to the basement was done. For now that's fine as everything we needed carpeted is done. I started bringing over some small things because I couldn't wait! The supplies are in the bathroom and ready for our houseguests to come.

Christmas is covered...

but her birthday, not so much! I bought everything for Katelyn for Christmas but am lacking on ideas for her birthday. All I've gotten for her so far is the Crayola Color Me A Song which I think she will love!


I'm also considering a pair of Pediped shoes that are so adorable. She has plenty of tennis shoes and a pair of boots but she doesn't have a pair of nice brown shoes. So I may have to order these soon. It is the Adrian - Choc Brown & Light Pink (Flex) I'm going to wait and see if they have a black Friday sale.


I want to come up with a few more ideas before I say I'm officially finished! Oh, and I've also come up with and designed her 2nd birthday invitation...its cute and simple. I love it!

Faucets...but no water

All of our faucets are now in, including the toilets. We are just waiting for the water to get going, which hopefully is within this week. The final inspection for plumbing would then be shortly after. Its getting thisclose and I cannot wait!!!

ponytail!

Yesterday I made it my mission to put Katelyn's hair in a ponytail and let me say that it wasn't an easy job! However I got it done. She sat down for me but wouldn't keep her head still. Pretty much all of her hair stayed up, except for the bang part obviously. She didn't seem to mind it either, which is great. Later though when we did a diaper change it came out since she layed down on it. I need stronger hair ties as the baby ones we have aren't tight enough. I will now be doing the ponytail, when she lets me!

Trick-or-Treat!

On Thursday we made our rounds for Trick or Treating and Katelyn got a bucketful of candy. She also got a nice little outfit and teapot set from Grandma DeWeese. We started at Grandma and Grandpa Brown's and ended and Grandma and Grandpa DeWeese's.

With Grandma Brown, she started crying when we had to leave!

Here we ran into Ken & Marsha's boys who were dressed as characters from the Wizard of Oz; Scarecrow, Tin man and the cowardly Lion! They looked great!

On Saturday we went to Grandma & Grandpa DeWeese's to see Uncle Kevin, Aunt Hillary and cousin Jack to spend time with them.
