Christmas shopping

Today I bought my first Christmas gift. It's actually for Katelyn and it's the Hybrid Anywhere Chair from Pottery Barn Kids. I got it personalized with her first name as well, just like the way picture is above. I've been wanting to get that for her and she'll be the perfect size for it. I can't wait for Christmas, but now I have to continue shopping!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Today we went great grandma and grandpa Fuge's for lunch and later went to great grandma Grimes' for dinner. The food was yummy and it was great to see the families. Katelyn loves potatoes, sweet potatoes and cool whip! Unfortunately we weren't able to see Kevin & Hillary and Doug & Linda but we want to wish them a happy thanksgiving and can't wait to see them soon!

Ok, so Katelyn has tennis shoes which are completely cute and we have Aunt Laura to thank for that. Plus I think more to come! But she's outgrown her adorable white Pediped Katelyn shoes, and those were her more dress up shoes. So I'm thinking as it gets closer to the holidays I will probably put her in more dressier clothes. So I went to the Pediped site and found these cute brown shoes called Isabella:
They are a bit on the expensive side for children's shoes, so I'm going to see if I can't find something similar. I just need cute dressier shoes for her!


On a side note, my sister-in-law has posted her first belly pic and it brought me back to thinking how much I loved my baby belly! Don't worry though, Katelyn is all that we need for now!!!

10 months!

Yesterday Katelyn turned 10 months, we didn't do anything special besides going to the grocery! Mom and I went shopping on Sunday and I got her some cute outfits for 12 months so she'll have to wait to wear them! As you can tell she has my chapstick in the pictures, she's become attached to it and wants it every time she sees it! She's started snapping her fingers though, which is so cute to watch. I actually got a video of that and it'll be below. I've tried getting her to say uh-oh for the camera and she won't do it, only after I've put it down!

Uh-oh

I don't remember if I've posted this before, but Katelyn has been saying uh-oh. All the time! She first started with only the sounds then actually said it, I think it was first heard last week. She does know the meaning, at least if she drops something she'll say it. But she'll now drop stuff on purpose to say it! I will try to get a video of this soon as it is so funny.

4. How did you find out you were pregnant? I was only a couple days late and decided on a whim to test, which came out positive.

7. Due date? January 14, 2009.

8. Did you deliver early or late? Early, she came January 9th.

9. Did you have morning sickness? Yes, but it wasn't that bad. Only in the morning when I had to brush my teeth.

10. What did you crave? Anything with cheese, especially nachos. And lots of chocolate milk!

11. What irritated you the most? I wasn't fond of people touching my belly.

12. What was your first child’s sex? Girl.

13. How many pounds did you gain throughout the pregnancy? Around 35 pounds.

14. Did you have any complications during your pregnancy? No, and I'm very fortunate.

16. How many hours were you in labor? Forever! Actually I think it was more like 12, but I don't remember.

17. Who drove you to the hospital? Brad.

18 . Did you take medicine to ease the pain? Yes I did. I took Nubain which I regret because it only made me sleepy, then I got the epidural later.

19 . How much did your child weigh? 7lbs 4oz

20 . What did you name him/her? Katelyn Renae

21 . How old is your first born today? 9 months 3 weeks old!

22. Who does your child look like? I think she looks like Brad.

23. Did you get mad at your husband during labor? No, he was the best support I could've asked for.

Happy Halloween, new foods

On Saturday, Halloween, Kevin and Hillary came to town to visit and see Katelyn. They got to see her in her costume and they gave her a gift which was so nice. It was a book to help learn numbers and animals. She loves it!
