adventures in peaches

Katelyn seems to like peaches, she did her usual yuck face at first but then gobbled down the rest. These pictures were taken Friday and she will actually start pears tonight . After pears we are going to start 3rd foods which will include some meat tastes for her! I can't wait for those reactions!!!

These pictures were taken later after she finished her peaches.

Look at that face, I think it says; don't take my picture!!

Gerber Graduate??

Last night after I fed Katelyn her apple sauce I decided to try out the Gerber Graduates banana puffs that I bought for her. I thought I'd try to start transitioning her into solids. Well she wasn't having that!!! I first put it on the tray and she would pick it up and constantly drop it. So I put it in her mouth and the reaction was priceless! She instantly had a yuck face and spit it back out! Here are the pictures as I had the camera ready. I think they speak for themselves...

New look

Yesterday I put Katelyn in a cute lavender outfit, put socks and shoes on her and decided for the first time to try out barrettes. To my surprise it stayed in! She doesn't have that much hair to work with but I couldn't help it! It didn't seem to bother her, except she doesn't like to sit still and I have to be sneaky when putting it on her. I think she looks utterly adorable! :)

adventures in applesauce

Some one feed me please...

yuck!

I think I like it!

When Katelyn took her first bite of applesauce she gave her typical yuck face but continued to gobble down the rest. I've come to expect the yuck face with every first bite now. The second day with it she also gave me that face. It makes me laugh every time. I can never get a good picture of it though.

My goodness...

On Tuesday night I was playing with Katelyn like I normally do when she got fussy and I immediately knew she was hungry. So I changed her diaper and took her downstairs. I put her in her pack & play like I normally do and went into the kitchen to make her bottle, after I finish I come back into the living room and what do I see?! Katelyn is standing in her pack & play holding onto the edge. Needless to say that was immediately lowered by Brad when he got home. She is so strong! She will probably be walking in no time, even though I'm not ready for it!!!

adventures in bananas

Katelyn tried bananas last night and while she made a nasty face when she first tried them she gobbled them up after that! So I'd say she likes bananas. I bought applesauce and peaches to try in as her next fruits, although I bought them at the next stage which is 2. The fruits will be thicker for her, I can't wait to see her reaction to those!

We've also lowered Katelyn's bed. And when I say we I mean Brad did it while Katelyn and I watched! :) She didn't mind the change as we caught her later while she was supposed to be napping she was sitting looking out towards the window instead. She's such a cutie patootie!

Fair pictutes

Saturday we took Katelyn to the fair since she was doing so much better. She seemed to enjoy it and had a good time checking everything out! Here are a batch of pictures from that trip.

Here are a few from the house that have been taken recently.

She has learned to get on her knees and look over the top of the couch.

Nap time.

Feeling better

Katelyn's fever broke yesterday and she seems to be doing much better. As I write this she is sitting in her bouncer squealing away! Did I mention that she is also been saying mama with some babas thrown in. We plan on going to the fair tonight since she is doing better and I can't wait to see her reactions! I plan on taking lots of pictures so I'd better go get my camera ready!

An eventful 4 year anniversary

8.13.05 Our wedding day.

Yesterday was Brad and I's 4 year anniversary, yay. However we spent very little time together and most of it was worrying over Katelyn anyways. She spiked a fever and it stayed around 101 to 103 all day and by 9 pm it came down to 100. She ate like normal and had normal potty and bm's. Brad took her to the doctor on Wednesday afternoon when she first had the high fever, but nothing came of it really. They said her throat was fine as was her ears. She wasn't showing any signs of teeth coming, which is what I think is really causing it. We've been giving her baby tylenol every four hours and I do think its helping, but Katelyn hates it! I hate making her cry. I can't wait to see her after work and see how she's doing. Yesterday I stayed home from work to be with her, so this is killing me now!

Something to look forward to though, the fair starts tonight. I know we won't be going tonight but sometime this weekend. Expect some pictures because I'm going to take a bunch of Katelyn checking out all the farm animals!

Big News!

We now have a crawler!!! Last night I took Katelyn up to her room and put her in the middle with her toys all around her, as I've been doing the past week. She will play and I will read. After awhile she happens to notice one of her books sitting on the floor over where I am. I think she decided she wanted that book instead of all of her toys! She started crawling towards it and all I could do was smile, then I called for Brad. I grabbed the book and put it a little ways from her and Brad got to see her crawl to it. It was a big step for her as she was having a tough time figuring out how to move her legs in the right direction! She's getting big so fast!!!

7 months + new pics

Katelyn turned 7 months yesterday. She is getting bigger by the minute! She is also on the verge of crawling. She's been rocking for the past two weeks and can't seem to figure out how to move her little legs forward. She can roll all over the place though! I'm also trying to get her to hold her own bottle. She hasn't figured that out also. She'll grab the bottle but won't bring it to her mouth yet. Hopefully she'll learn how to do it soon because that will help me out tons! She can eat in her high chair and I can continue cleaning or doing laundry!

She also was in the pool for the first time. It didn't last long as the water was a tad chilly. But she seemed ok with it. I knew she would, she loves bath time! We'll just have to try again when the water is warmer.

Congrats!!!

Brad, Katelyn and I want to congratulate Rob and Britney along with their sons Kyan and Gavin on the newest addition of son Taelan. He arrived today at 5:12 pm and from what I heard was 5 pounds 12 ounces, both baby and mom are doing well. Congrats again to the happy family! We can't wait to meet him!!!

adventures in sweet potatoes

Ready and waiting...

Yum

She loved sweet potatoes and finished those so quickly, faster than she's finished any other veggie. We may start fruit next week, probably bananas. I think she'll like those. She's also becoming a better eater, she hardly ever spits out any more!

See her teeth in there?! This was the best shot I could get. She hates it when I try to get shots of her teeth.

Are we done yet?!

*Also, don't forget to vote in my new poll! Check out the 6 month post and vote for your favortie picture :)
