Happy New Year

Katelyn is currently in bed and Brad and I are super tired, but we are trying to stay up for the countdown! We wish everyone a happy and safe new year.

Merry

This is belated but Merry Christmas! I've been down with a terrible cold and haven't had a chance to do any blogging. It wasn't the best Christmas for me but It was for Katelyn. She didn't understand how to unwrap the gifts but loves the toys she got! I'll hVe to add the pictures later.

She's seeing pink...

Well not exactly seeing it but rather it's in her eye. We found out earlier today that Katelyn has pinkeye. I was so upset because tomorrow we have Christmas with my grandparents but now she'll have to miss it. I just hope she gets over it soon. She seems to be doing fine, at least for now. Her eye was swollen and had a little puss coming out of it but we have to really keep her hands out of her eyes so she doesn't spread it to her other eye. I don't want her to be miserable, especially now at this time of the year!

Santa Claus

Tonight Brad and I took Katelyn to see Santa Claus and she was a little leary about him. When I sat her down in his lap she immediately started crying! The girls had some bells that got her to stop crying for a minute and that was long enough to get a shot. It wasn't a bad picuter considering the fuss she made, you can see a tear on her cheek!

1-2-3 Go!

Earlier today Katelyn and I were in her room playing and had sat down as she kept playing. She was having a great time giggling and talking away. Out of nowhere she stood up and started taking a few steps, then she was walking across the room! It was amazing! I got my camera and started to record it for Brad since he was out of the house but when he got home he was able to see it for himself because she kept on going!!! She has been a fireball all day today!

11 months

Yesterday Katelyn turned 11 months. 11 months!!! I cannot believe how quickly the time has flown. She's getting so big and doing so many new things that make us laugh uncontrollably!!! She's starting to get an attitude also! We love her so much. I wish I could post the cute pictures that I took last night but we don't have Internet access at home and I was restricted at work which is where I did my blogging. I will try to find an alternative as soon as possible!


On a side note we are getting a nephew! Kevin and Hillary just found out they are having a boy, I am super excited for them! Congrats guys!!!

Supplies, planning, not ready!

I did something over the weekend that I've been wanting to do but have been putting off. I went to a party supply store and got plates, cups, napkins and decoratins for Katelyn. I've also started creating her invitation, it will be so cute! We have a tentative date of Saturday, January 9 which is her exact first birthday! I can and I can't wait...



In other news we recieved her chair today and I've decided to leave it in the box until Christmas, it'll be more fun that way!

Christmas shopping

Today I bought my first Christmas gift. It's actually for Katelyn and it's the Hybrid Anywhere Chair from Pottery Barn Kids. I got it personalized with her first name as well, just like the way picture is above. I've been wanting to get that for her and she'll be the perfect size for it. I can't wait for Christmas, but now I have to continue shopping!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Today we went great grandma and grandpa Fuge's for lunch and later went to great grandma Grimes' for dinner. The food was yummy and it was great to see the families. Katelyn loves potatoes, sweet potatoes and cool whip! Unfortunately we weren't able to see Kevin & Hillary and Doug & Linda but we want to wish them a happy thanksgiving and can't wait to see them soon!

Ok, so Katelyn has tennis shoes which are completely cute and we have Aunt Laura to thank for that. Plus I think more to come! But she's outgrown her adorable white Pediped Katelyn shoes, and those were her more dress up shoes. So I'm thinking as it gets closer to the holidays I will probably put her in more dressier clothes. So I went to the Pediped site and found these cute brown shoes called Isabella:
They are a bit on the expensive side for children's shoes, so I'm going to see if I can't find something similar. I just need cute dressier shoes for her!


On a side note, my sister-in-law has posted her first belly pic and it brought me back to thinking how much I loved my baby belly! Don't worry though, Katelyn is all that we need for now!!!

10 months!

Yesterday Katelyn turned 10 months, we didn't do anything special besides going to the grocery! Mom and I went shopping on Sunday and I got her some cute outfits for 12 months so she'll have to wait to wear them! As you can tell she has my chapstick in the pictures, she's become attached to it and wants it every time she sees it! She's started snapping her fingers though, which is so cute to watch. I actually got a video of that and it'll be below. I've tried getting her to say uh-oh for the camera and she won't do it, only after I've put it down!

Uh-oh

I don't remember if I've posted this before, but Katelyn has been saying uh-oh. All the time! She first started with only the sounds then actually said it, I think it was first heard last week. She does know the meaning, at least if she drops something she'll say it. But she'll now drop stuff on purpose to say it! I will try to get a video of this soon as it is so funny.

Happy Halloween, new foods

On Saturday, Halloween, Kevin and Hillary came to town to visit and see Katelyn. They got to see her in her costume and they gave her a gift which was so nice. It was a book to help learn numbers and animals. She loves it!

Daddy's new toy!

So yesterday daddy brought home a new tractor and we got to go see it. Brad wanted to take pictures of it with Katelyn and she had fun with the steering wheel. Its a big toy!
