Congrats to Aunt Laura.

Laura will be graduating tonight from her massage school, the name of it is escaping me at the moment. But we will be unable to attend and I want to give her a big congrats and am so proud of her! :) We love you!!!

What's so funny?

Today, about two hours ago to be exact, Katelyn laughed for the first time. It was great!!! I've been waiting for this moment for awhile now. I'm so glad to have been the first to get her to do it. Brad was unlucky and missed it, he was working. But I did give him a call right away to let him know. By tv time I got the video camera to show brad she was all laughed out. Hopefully we can keep her laughing. I'm so happy right now! :)

first cereal

On Saturday we gave Katelyn rice cereal with formula for the first time. It took me a little longer than I thought to get everything ready so she fussed a little bit and we had to give her the bottle first. After that we started with the cereal, she seemed to like it. Most did end up on her though! She would stick out her tongue every time we brought the spoon to her mouth so she had the motions down. She ate most of the cereal before we gave her the rest of the bottle. But she took to it so well, I was expecting her to reject it or it to be everywhere by the time we were done! She is such a fast learner. Here are pictures from the event!

4 mth appt.

I forgot to update yesterday on Katelyn's appointment but everything went well. She is a little over 14 pounds and is 26 and a quarter long. They said she is tall! She got her shots and did awesome. She actually didn't cry, she started to after her very last shot but Brad was able to calm her before it came. Brad said that she did so well because he was there! We found out that she hates having her head measured because she would not sit still for the nurse! Every time she tried Katelyn would turn her head back and forth as if she were saying no! It was funny. She will be starting cereal this weekend, hopefully she'll take to it. I'm expecting a mess! We'll be using the highchair for the first time also. So expect pictures after this event!

we have a roller

So recently Katelyn has started rolling over onto her stomach. This is great and while we haven't actually seen her do it, we have found her screaming on her stomach! She will do it and be ok for a few minutes and then get instantly frustrated and start bawling. Its actually funny, except for this morning when she woke us up at 3:45 am on her stomach screaming.

Today is Katelyn's 4 month appointment and I will update later or tomorrow.

Another story, this one from yesterday: I had Katelyn laying beside me on the couch playing with her. She had on booties and kicked one off. I took it and showed it to her when she grabbed it, looked at it and then promptly stuck it in her mouth! Obviously I took it back laughing. She is too cute.

4 months!

On Saturday Katelyn was four months. I cannot believe how time goes by so quickly. She is growing like a weed!!! On Wednesday we go to the doctor for her 4 month check-up so then we'll see how big she actually is. Also she'll be getting more shots, so I'm having Brad go with me this time to help me calm her down. I hope she does well with it. We got to spend time with both of our families this past weekend and Kevin & Hillary came down as well to see her. Here are some new pictures.
