32 weeks!

Today I am 32 weeks along. Wow. I can't believe I have possibly 8 weeks left. 8 weeks left of just Brad and I, of quiet times, and of sleep! Speaking of sleep, by this time I think most pregnant women have insomnia or lots of trouble sleeping, but I sleep almost all the way through the night only waking about 15 minutes before my alarm would go off. So I'm pretty happy about that, of course I probably just jinxed myself!

This weekend will be a big one for me as Friday is the premiere of Twilight and Sunday is my first baby shower for friends and Brad's side of the family. It'll be great! I'll be sure to take lots of pictures!

What was red is now green.

Last week Brad primed the red wall and this weekend he decided to paint it the green color that we had picked out. I think it looks great and it matches so well. Brad did a wonderful job, he would'nt let me help because he thought the fumes would be to much for me and the baby. So everytime I got the chance I would help out with anything else he needed. I am so glad that this is finally done and out of the way. Its so exciting!

Twilight

The movie Twilight, based on Stephenie Meyer's bestselling book, comes out in one week. 7 days. I. am. so. excited! Of course I will be dragging Brad along with me! When I first got the book, which was recommended by a friend, I could not put it down. I think I read it in 3 days. Its such a great book and I can't wait to see how the film adaption will be. From what I hear the movie should open to huge numbers. The soundtrack alone was a hit. I am looking forward to next weekend!

31 weeks

I am now 31 weeks! Can you believe it!? Its hard for me to believe. Time seems to be flying by and yet not going fast enough. I want to meet this little girl who's been kicking me like crazy! Yesterday I had a doctor appointment and it seems Katelyn is sideways across my stomach so the doctor isn't getting a good measurement and just to be safe we are going to be doing an ultrasound at my next appointment for a more accurate measurement. He assured me its nothing to be worried about. My appt. was scheduled for December 2nd so we'll find out how she's doing then.

crib is now setup!

Since we received our crib mattress last night I was finally able to put it all together! It looks so pretty! The colors go so well with the crib and it was fun to do. Of course we will be painting the room so the odd red wall will be green soon (to match the bedding). I'm having a baby shower in two weeks so after that I plan on taking the bedding off and washing everything but I wanted everyone who came to see it. Brad was even excited to see it all together and of course he loved it!

new blogger

So I decided today that I wanted to start a blog, but I actually should've started a long time ago! This one will probably be long as I have many updates too!

I want to start it off with the fact that Brad and I are extremely happy and excited for the arrival of Katelyn. Her estimated due date is January 14th of '09. Also, we finally decided on a middle name! That in itself is a big relief! We decided on Renae. Its actually a spin off of my middle name which is Renee but it seems to fit right with her name and we both loved it.

I expect the arrival of Katelyn's crib mattress today so I can finally put the bedding all together and get to see what it looks like with the crib. I cannot wait!

Last night after I got into bed and Brad was fast asleep I could not myself fall asleep because I was experiencing Katelyn hiccuping! It was the oddest feeling ever but I loved it! I wanted to tell Brad so badly but didn't want to wake him and I wasn't going to see him in the morning. So I'll just have to tell him when I get home from work. She's been moving around a lot lately!
