congratulations are in order

Congrats to Kevin & Hillary. They are expecting their own bundle of joy on April 22nd of next year. We can't wait to be an uncle and aunt ourselves. We can't wait to also meet this little one. Everyone is very excited.

Halloween costume

Awhile back Brad and I were discussing Halloween costume ideas and I didn't really care as long as she was adorable but Brad was really leaning towards lady bug. So I was on a mission to find the cutest/cheapest costume. When we took our shopping trip to the outlet mall a few weeks back we found in the Carter's store a cute one but they didn't have her size left. So just last week I found it on sale through JCPenney's website. So I snatched it up and it arrived over the weekend. I can't wait to see how she will look in it. I also had to get a black long sleeve onesie to complete the look!

So we thought we'd try a meal of sorts and did mixed veggies with beef and bananas. Well she loved the bananas and polished off the whole jar but the other well, here are her reactions...

Oh well, we intend to keep trying on the meats!

8 months

8 months as of yesterday. Its going by so fast, and we love every minute of it. Here are some pictures of her trying chicken/rice/carrots. She ate a little before she decided she didn't like it and would turn her head every time I tried to give her more.

So as it turns out I think Katelyn's favorite fruit is now pears. She gobbled these down but at times I couldn't give them to her fast enough! She was so impatient!!! I also attempted the sippy cup last night and she did not go for it. She tried to pick it up and play with it and by the end got so frustrated because she was so unsure that she started bawling. I gave in and put it in a bottle and fed her. Soon I hope she learns to hold it herself.
