a swing and a slide

For the last few months or so Katelyn has been talking about wanting a 'swing and a slide', or a swingset. We had looked around and decided two weeks ago to check out Watson's to see what they had. Well at that time they weren't ready and to come back at a later date. On Saturday we went back and they had just finished setting all the swingsets up. We had researched their line and liked one in particular but wanted to see it in person. Plus it was necessary to see Katelyn with it. She loved it, she actually would've loved them all! She played on it for a bit and we decided to purchase it. We also got a bucket swing for Mitch. Hopefully sometime this week they can deliver and install it in the backyard. So definitely more pictures to come!

a little happy

We want to wish everyone a Happy St. Patrick's Day but we really want to wish aunt Laura a very Happy Birthday. A big happy birthday from a little niece and nephew!!! Have a great day :)

6 month picture

Here is a scan of Mitch's 6 month picture. Sears portrait was doing a special package that was a 1 pose for like 8 bucks. It included an 8x10, a 5x7, a page of 3.5x5 and wallets. Since we don't have a scanner and didn't purchase the cd I had to take in an image to work and scan it so I could show everyone this cute shot. Speaking of, this was the very first picture taken and was the only one he smiled for! Of course I had to get this one because he looks so adorable!!!

6 month appt.

Mitch had his 6 month doctor appointment on Tuesday and it seemed to go well. He is currently 17lbs and 6oz and is 28" long. He had 3 shots in the legs and one more that was oral. The doctor did tell Brad though that he had a left ear infection, which was a shocker since he showed no signs. The doctor thinks he has a high pain tolerance. So he is on medicine for the next week. They said he was a happy baby and seems to be right on track.

The doctor did check his gums as well and unfortunately no teeth are showing signs of cutting any time soon. We were sure he would or was currently teething because he has been drooling like crazy and 'chewing' on his fingers! Oh well it'll happen when it happens.

Big Girl Bed

We recently decided to upgrade Katelyn to her 'big girl bed' and went out yesterday to buy a full size mattress. Today Brad brought out the conversion kit and put together the full size bed frame and then put the mattress and box spring on it. I washed all the new bedding that I bought for her new bed (which looks so great) and put it all on the bed this afternoon. Katelyn loves her new bed. When finished though we saw how high it was compared to our bed and had to take the step stool out of her bathroom just so she can climb up onto her bed. To make up for the lost step stool in her bathroom I went ahead and ordered one just like it but, it will have Mitchell's name on it. So now they will both have one. Katelyn loves climbing in and out and told everyone she saw that she now has a 'big girl bed'! She is so funny. We had to rearrange the furniture in her room to accomodate this new big bed but I think it all worked out fine. We were able to keep everything in her room, I was thinking we may have to move a dresser to the basement. Here are some pictures of Katelyn in her new bed.
