Happy Halloween!

2 month stats

Mitch had his 2 month check-up yesterday and Brad had to take him since I was at work. Basically everything is looking good, he is a healthy little boy. Mitch weighed in at 12lbs and 11 oz. and 23.5" long. He is a little over a pound heavier than what Katelyn was at this time, which I expected since he is a big boy! He got three shots, 1 in one leg and 2 in the other. Brad said he didn't notice the first, the second seemed like he was pinched and the third he cried on. But as soon as he picked up Mitch he stopped crying. I wish I could've been there.

He likes to lay on one side of his head which is a concern of ours since it can become flat if he keeps doing it, the doctor said it wasn't yet but to try and do more to get him to turn the other way. So that is our mission! I have one more thing to talk about but not enough time to do it right now since I'm doing it early morning before work...check back later!

jack-o-lantern

Katelyn and daddy (pretty much all daddy) carved a pumpkin to light up and put on our back porch. It turned out really well and she enjoyed it. I think she didn't mind the feeling of the inside of the pumpkin and how gooey it was! She loved being involved and that it was 'her' pumpkin!

Attention Family!

I bought my very first Christmas gift today and it is for Katelyn. I wanted to post it in case anyone else thought about buying it - please don't! If you happen to have already gotten this as a gift for her please let me know and I can return it and do something else.

It is a RoseArt Deluxe Creative Tool Box. It has 100 pieces like markers, crayons, stickers and so much more! I thought she'd love it and picked it up today. I don't want her to get double of something and wanted to let everyone know. Thanks!!!

pumpkins galore!

Today we took a trip to Fulton's Farm to pick out pumpkins for our house. Actually I should say Katelyn picked out all the pumpkins! She was so very excited to do it and for every one that she got for herself she had to get a matching one for Mitch. It was adorable. Once we got there the very first one she saw she wanted but we convinced her to look around and then decide. She walked through and picked two large pumpkins and two smaller ones, then saw some little ones and picked two from that batch. Daddy picked up the big ones and took the smaller ones from Katelyn to put in the wheel barrow and I held Mitch and took the pictures. We had a great time doing it and Katelyn herself had a blast. It was nice and sunny but really windy, Fultons was very busy as we all had the same idea of getting pumpkins! Here are the pictures from our adventure...

little brother

As I'm posting this, Katelyn was asking Mitch if it was alright if she could lay down with him...she's so sweet and good with her little brother. Mitch is getting bigger by the day and I can't believe that as of Saturday he was 7 weeks. He is able to focus on our faces as we are holding him and will sometimes smile in return. He is also starting to 'talk' as I say. It is so adorable and brings back all my memories with Katelyn as a baby. It is fun to be going through it again.

Cousins

On Friday evening my cousing Lakyn, Aunt Laura and Grandma came out to play with Mitch and I. The babies mainly slept and ate while I took tons of pictures! We had a lot of fun hanging out together.

This past Monday was my first day back to work and boy it was just as tough as it was leaving Katelyn behind! I love picking her and Mitch up every afternoon. 4 o'clock can't come soon enough for me!
