Early Christmas gift

On Saturday Brad and I went out and got our early Christmas gift for each other. I'd say we are both pretty happy with it! See below...

We traded in our 2007 Honda CR-V for a 2012 Honda Odyssey Touring. It is so nice and so much bigger! The extra room is great and it is so much easier putting Katelyn and Mitch in the van now. We have the navigation system as well as a dvd player which are nice additions. The third row is great for when ever we may need it and when we don't it can fold down and give us extra room for the trunk. I absolutely love it!

Oh Christmas Tree

On Saturday and Sunday I put the tree up and Katelyn and I decorated it. She had a blast and loved every minute of it. She of course decorated the very bottom all by herself, while I did the rest of the tree. Unfortunately there was 1 broken bulb but lucky us it was contained to one area and quickly and easily cleaned up. She loves it when we turn on the lights and loves to look at it.

Last week I ordered personalized stockings from Pottery Barn Kids and they arrived today so I was able to put them out. Katelyn loves her 'princess' stocking and constantly goes to touch it because it is really soft. She knows whose is for who and will go down the line - daddy, Mitchell, Katelyn and mommy. Its fun for her.

Over the weekend I took advantage of Christmas shopping and got most of it done. I also wrapped it all in our bedroom while Katelyn was in the living room watching her 'toons'. I feel very accomplished to have most of it done so early. Well early for me! I only have a few more people to buy for and then I am finished!

3 months

Mitch is 3 months old today. How the time flies by! He is doing great and is such a good baby. He's also a good little eater, or should I say big eater! He's my chunky guy! Hopefully soon I'll have the 3 month pictures we had taken today alongside Katelyn and cousin Lakyn. They turned out great and I can't wait to have them printed and put around the house. For now though here are some shots from today and the previous day.







About an hour after we came home from getting pictures taken Katelyn thought it'd be a good idea to jump on the couch - something she knows isn't allowed - and while doing so fell right into the arm rest causing a swollen bruised eye. Here are the before and after shots...

Happy Halloween!

2 month stats

Mitch had his 2 month check-up yesterday and Brad had to take him since I was at work. Basically everything is looking good, he is a healthy little boy. Mitch weighed in at 12lbs and 11 oz. and 23.5" long. He is a little over a pound heavier than what Katelyn was at this time, which I expected since he is a big boy! He got three shots, 1 in one leg and 2 in the other. Brad said he didn't notice the first, the second seemed like he was pinched and the third he cried on. But as soon as he picked up Mitch he stopped crying. I wish I could've been there.

He likes to lay on one side of his head which is a concern of ours since it can become flat if he keeps doing it, the doctor said it wasn't yet but to try and do more to get him to turn the other way. So that is our mission! I have one more thing to talk about but not enough time to do it right now since I'm doing it early morning before work...check back later!

jack-o-lantern

Katelyn and daddy (pretty much all daddy) carved a pumpkin to light up and put on our back porch. It turned out really well and she enjoyed it. I think she didn't mind the feeling of the inside of the pumpkin and how gooey it was! She loved being involved and that it was 'her' pumpkin!
