6 weeks

I'm looking away because at that moment I was trying so hard not to laugh...Katelyn came up beside me and was mocking the way I was standing and even pulled up her shirt because she thought she would be in the picture too! It was hilarious. Funny girl.

How your baby's growing:
This week's major developments: The nose, mouth, and ears that you'll spend so much time kissing in eight months are beginning to take shape. If you could see into your uterus, you'd find an oversize head and dark spots where your baby's eyes and nostrils are starting to form. His emerging ears are marked by small depressions on the sides of the head, and his arms and legs by protruding buds. His heart is beating about 100 to 160 times a minute — almost twice as fast as yours — and blood is beginning to course through his body. His intestines are developing, and the bud of tissue that will give rise to his lungs has appeared. His pituitary gland is forming, as are the rest of his brain, muscles, and bones. Right now, your baby is a quarter of an inch long, about the size of a lentil.

The day after Christmas

The day after we spent with Grandma and Grandpa DeWeese along with Uncle Kevin, Aunt Hillary and Jack. It was a fun day!

Crying because Jack is in her new car!

Now she's happy!

We put the two of them in the wagon and got some good shots. They are so cute!
We hope everyone had a great Christmas and will have a great New Year!

Christmas Day

Christmas was a good one for Katelyn this year. From us she got her kitchen and all the fun stuff that can go with it. Including extra pots and pans, a fruit and veggie basket and a shopping cart with goodies. She absolutely loved it and I was happy with her reaction.

After our fun we went to Grandma and Grandpa Brown's to finish our Christmas with them.

For dinner that night we went to my Grandma's and were with my dad's side of the family. I forgot my camera so no pictures from that.

Chistmas Eve pictures

On Christmas Eve we had our parents over for dinner and we exchanged a few gifts. It was a fun night for Katelyn. She received a snow suit and boots, some new books and a fun new red wagon.

Daddy had to pull me around and around!

However the biggest news of all was written on Katelyn's shirt...
it was a great Christmas present for all of us!

We thought this would be a fun way to tell our parents and it sure was! I went to the doctor today actually and my due date is August 26th, 2011. We are very excited.

Family Christmas 12/18

Here are some pictures from Saturday's family Christmas on my mom's side. Katelyn got some new toys that she loves, including a Duck & Goose book and a Leap Frog cell phone. She always carries them every she is in the house!

interior shots

Here are some new shots of the living room and of Katelyn's room. In the living room we actually had to move the Christmas tree to get our furniture where we wanted it and to keep enough walking room around everything. It turned out pretty good I think.

Katelyn's room is shown first. We have since added blinds and some other things to her room. I want to buy girly curtains for her probably from Pottery Barn Kids but haven't looked to buy any yet.

This last view is looking from the front door into the living room.

This weekend we have our first family Christmas with my mom's side of the family and it will be fun for Katelyn. I can't wait to see my family.

new design

Today I felt the need for a new design. I wanted to do something girly and pink for Katelyn since she is now in her pink bedroom! I found the background design off a free blogger design website and created the header to coincide with it. I think its cute and hope everyone else does as well.

Potty time!

On Monday I went to Walmart and bought Katelyn a potty for us to start potty training. When I brought it home I showed it to her and told her what it was, well as I was putting it together she took the potty part and put it on her head! After I stopped laughing I told her that that is not what we do with the potty.

Yesterday Brad put Katelyn on the potty because she kept trying to pull her pants down and sit on it. Nothing happened. Before bath time I tried it again and about 5 minutes of sitting she peed in the potty! I was so excited for her. Brad came in and we kept appraising her and calling her a big girl. Hopefully this will continue and be a smooth transition. What will help us is that Cathy at her daycare will also help potty train. I'm excited to see where this goes.

Even more exciting news!

As of Friday (12/10) we are officially moved into our brand new house! Not completely yet, but enough that we are comfortable. We are in the process everyday of moving in little by little. It is amazing to be in a new house, to have heat that works and carpet in the living room. Its the little things that you appreciate. Katelyn has taken to it very well and loves all the running room since we don't have the furniture in yet! The dog also loves it for the same reason! The cat however isn't liking it at all so far. Since putting her in the house Friday she has stayed in our room mostly hidden. She only ventures out at night and not for long. She seems to be taking it day by day though and hopefully will get comfortable with the move soon.

I have to get used to my new kitchen, we've been bringing over most things and I keep forgetting where I've put them! Our new master bath is awesome and we absolutely love it. Everything is great and we are very pleased with it all so far.

On a side note, I finished all my Christmas shopping - as well as wrapping- all on Saturday! I'm so proud of myself! We have our first Christmas this weekend so I wanted to get it all out of the way and wrapped in time. We just have to make sure that Katelyn stays out of it all!

exciting news

Yesterday was our final inspection and I am happy to say that it passed! We are free to move our stuff in and live there now. However at the moment we have 4 Maryland houseguests who are staying in the house for a fun stay of deer hunting (ew!) and hanging out. So we are going to wait until after they leave to start our moving process. I cannot wait to actually start living in it!
