7 weeks.

Katelyn is 7 weeks today. I can't believe how time flies by so fast. She is already starting to outgrow some of her newborn outfits. So she's been wearing a few 0-3 month outfits. She found her hands yesterday, she kept bringing her right hand up to her mouth and licking it! It was funny to watch her. On a sad note, she only slept through the night that one night. I was hoping she would keep doing it but I knew it was a slim chance.

Brad and I are doing pretty well. We sort of have a routine down. I'll usually feed her at night before we go to bed and then again if she wakes up in the middle of the night. Then Brad will get up in the morning to feed her, if she's awake, and then take her to Jean's. It works out great.

good night last night

Yesterday Brad and I were both extremely tired. I think the sleep deprivation was catching up to us. By six I was feeding Katelyn and Brad offered to make dinner, I was very grateful for that! She took a nap for a while and then woke up around nine for another feeding. After she was done we gave her a bath and put her down for bed. She was actually still awake when I put her down, usually she will start crying immediately but that didn't happen this time. She fell asleep shortly after that and slept entirely through the night. A full nights sleep for all of us! It was great! Brad actually had to wake her up this morning to feed her before he took her to Jean's. She did really well and I hope this is a new trend that sticks.

6 weeks already?!

I am sitting at work constantly thinking about Katelyn. Today is my first day back. I wish I were still at home with her. Its hard. Although I do feel better that she is with family. Her great aunt Jean will be watching her until she goes to daycare.

She is getting so big! Since I haven't been able to upload pictures in awhile there will be a bunch in this post as well as the smile pictures I've been promising. The ones here at the beginning are the most recent.

5 weeks

This is a little late but Katelyn was 5 weeks old on Friday. She is getting so big! I finally was able to get some shots of her smiling, including one of Brad holding her and she is smiling up at him. I haven't been able to get to a computer to upload them yet though, but hopefully soon. This is my final week off and then I'll be back to work next Monday. It'll be bittersweet. I want to go back but I will hate to leave her! I know it's going to be hard.

Something I Absolutely Love

I love it when I'm holding Katelyn. But I absolutely love when I look down at her and she is calm and is staring at me, then out of nowhere she smiles. Unexpectedly she brightens me up. She just did that to me. Words can't explain how much I love her.

4 weeks!

Katelyn is 4 weeks already! I can't believe it. She looks bigger for sure to Brad and I. She's eating more as well, in addition to that she's also sleeping longer (yay!). Last night she actually slept through the night, it was nice. Hopefully she'll do it again! I'm still not quick enough to get a shot of her smiling because she'll smile and it'll be gone just as quick. She is such a cutie pie :) She makes me laugh all the time. I love to just watch her, no matter what she's doing. We love her so much!
