A sample of Mitch's 1 year pictures

Today we went to Sears to get Mitchell's 1 year photos taken and it went very well. He was super great with the exception of sitting still! He laughted and smiled however the photographer was a little slow to catch it. He did want to crawl every time we put him into position. But we managed to capture some good ones. After Mitch was done we added Katelyn and got some great sibling shots. They both did well together. We ended up getting the cd along with some sheets that we have to wait to get. Here are some of the shots for your viewing pleasure! (There are plenty more but I plan on passing out pics to the families.)

Also a side note: Soon I will be adding the pictures from the 1st birthday party as well. It was great fun and turned out so well.

We have a 1 year old?!

Today is Mitchell's 1st birthday. I cannot believe how quickly this past year has gone. He is still so much my baby though just like Katelyn will always be. Mitch is currently walking along the couch but will not yet let go! He isn't saying any real words yet, although I think he may be may be learning the word 'no'! He hears it a lot currently! He is such a momma's boy too! And I think he has a bit of separation anxiety. Hopefully he'll get over it soon.

We can't wait for his party this weekend. Especially for Katelyn! She can't wait for her little brothers party, not to mention the cake!!!

packing, packing, and yet even more packing

Currently we are packing for our much needed vacation. We've been to Wal Mart already to get any last minute supplies, mostly for the kids. The suitcases are out ready to be filled and we are currently washing clothes. I can't even begin to explain how excited we all are for this trip. Katelyn especially! We've told her about Gatlinburg but all she seems to be focused on is the ocean. (We're starting out at Gatlinburg then making our way to Myrtle Beach.) There is so much more planning when you have kids its almost chaotic! Not to mention all the extra supplies we need to take like his diapers and food. We're taking his bumbo with the added tray to feed him in. He is just starting to like the finger food puffs and to hold his own bottle so that should make some things easier. I'm looking forward to how they both react to sand!!! I plan on taking loads of pictures so when we get back I'll have another update. But until then we are in preparation mode for when we leave. :)

In the aquarium we saw lots of fish, a turtle and some manatees.
Mitchell had fun at the zoo as well!
                                                                       10 months old!!!
Not a fan of the cold water!
Katelyn with her new pool and water toys.
Katelyn had so much fun getting Lacey all wet.
Having fun at Lincoln's first birthday party.
Playing with Lincoln and his new water table.
Yes, daddy did do my hair today.
                                                                        Sparklers!!!
Happy fourth from Katelyn and Mitchell!

We've been quite busy around here and like most of you dealing with hot weather! So awhile back I bought a small pool for our back yard after a birthday party for Lincoln that had a pool in which Katelyn had a blast. Hopefully this will get her ready for some beach time! She seems to like any pool that she can stand up in and not worry about it being to deep. Mitch on the other hand wasn't so fond of it when Brad dipped his toes in!

Mitchell turned 10 months and in the process got two more teeth. His top ones showed up together and made everyone miserable. He was non-stop crying and unhappy. After they came in he was a totally different baby! He is currently crawling all over the house learning what is in each room. He follows us everywhere! He likes to 'talk' to us all as well. He hasn't showed an interest in table food no matter what I put in front of him. He does seem to like diluted pear juice. The only problem is that he doesn't want to hold his bottle or sippy cup - we still have to do it for him. I will be very happy when he learns to do it! He can stand holding onto the couch when we put him there but typically it only lasts a few seconds.

This past weekend we went to the zoo and my mom came along as Brad was unfortunatley sick. Katelyn loved it and had so much fun. She called the shots on where to go and so we saw the aqaurium first. We got to see pretty much most of the animals despite the hot weather. Katelyn loved the monkeys and the polar bear. When we got to the gift shop she could pick out one thing to take home and out of everything in there she picked an animal book. She loves her books! I picked out for Mitch a small fuzzy and soft monkey.

And last but not least, have a Happy 4th of July! I bought sparklers and hopefully Katelyn won't be too scared to try them tonight!

Happy Father's Day

We know this is a little late but still we wanted to wish all the fathers in our lives a Happy Father's Day!
